Live Oak Elementary is proud to be an AVID Elementary school!

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Elementary provides students with the tools and strategies they need to thrive academically and socially. By building essential skills such as organization, collaboration, and critical thinking, AVID helps students develop a growth mindset and prepare for future success.

Through rigorous academic preparedness, opportunity knowledge, and student agency, Live Oak Elementary is committed to equipping all PreK-6 students with the skills they need to confidently transition to the next level and excel in college and career readiness.

Our AVID-trained teachers use WICOR strategies—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—to deliver engaging, high-quality instruction. Students also explore college and career pathways, inspiring them to dream big and achieve their goals.
